The new Pentax K-X is a powerful, and stylish, entry level DSLR camera, with HD video!
With it's new K-X series, available in red, white, navy and black color schemes, Pentax has created the most stylish DSLR on the market, and has done so a very attractive price. Coming in at under $700 with an 18-55mm lens, this camera goes head to head with entry level cameras from Nikon, Canon, and Sony, but does so with greater style. It is priced at a point where it competes directly with the Canon XSi, a great DSLR that does not have HD video capability, whereas the Pentax does. To get into DSLR video in the Canon lineup, requires to upgrade to the more expensive Canon T1i, although that still remains the better camera with full 1080p HD video.
The K-X series features:
- 12.4 megapixel CMOS sensor
- 2.7 inch live view LCD with face detection
- 720p HD video
- HDR image capture
- 11-point wide angle focus
