The Ford Mustang, redesigned with greater flair and better build quality.
When Ford redesigned it's iconic Mustang a few years ago, it took styling cues from its classic designs of the late 1960s, particularly incoroporating the classic looks of the 1968 model. For 2010 Ford is going back to the future again, this time borrowing subtle design elements from the more sleek and muscular Mustangs of 1969 and 1970. That's great news for those who remember the Mustang's racing heritage.
Under the hood, the Mustang GT features Ford's venerable 4.6 L V8. In regular trim, this engine produces a tire shredding 300 horsepower. Torque comes in at a generous 320 ft-lbs. This level of horsepower and torque should be able to take the Mustang GT to 60 MPH in around 6 seconds, maybe less.
Recent Mustang interiors have gotten more luxurious than those in past Mustangs, a bit of a departure from tradition, and perhaps a reason why the price tag for these Pony cars has been on the increase. Nice touches inside include the MyColor instrument cluster that allows drivers to select colors for backlighting of the instrument panel.
