What separates the RDX from other SUVs? Start with the turbocharger....
It's the little SUV that could, and then some, courtesy of a turbocharged, 240 HP inline 4 cylider engine. That's an incredible amount of horsepower from such a little mill, and because it makes so many horespower with such little weight, the RDX benefits in the handling department. Compared to the competition, the RDX should run circles around them in the twisties.
Again, as with the other Acura SUV (the MDX), the RDX probably won't see too many woods roads or other off-road adventures, but that's not really what it is intended for. Do you have to haul a bunch of groceries through a snow storm -- hop in the RDX. Desert sandstorm on while on the way to the gas station -- no problem. Outrun some Somali pirates -- well you might not have to do that, but you could, as long as you could stay on land.
What does Acura say:
"The RDX is not only a stylistic triumph, it’s a technological tour de force, thanks to Acura’s first-ever turbocharged engine and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™. Other impressive innovations include the available Acura Navigation System with AcuraLink® Real-Time Traffic and the Acura/ELS Surround® Premium Sound System."
Naturally, the RDX with all of its technology and innovation is not cheap. Get the top of the line model for a measely $37,195.
