Acura's entry-level sport sedan is built for the twisties.
A sport sedan is about more than brute force and acceleration. It is also about handling and braking performance. In these departments, the 2009 TSX does not disappoint.
According to Acura:
"The TSX has such light, nimble handling, you’ll be exhilarated from the very first curve you carve up. With a 201-hp, i-VTEC® engine leading the charge, Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) for supreme control, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®, and the available Acura Navigation System, the concrete is yours to conquer."
While slightly underpowered compared to some of its competition, the TSX's engine still has enough power to satisy most drivers. Again, according to Acura:
"With its 201-hp, 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC® in-line-4 engine, the TSX triumphantly combines high performance, light weight and fuel efficiency.
- i-VTEC® increases both low rpm torque and high rpm horsepower.
- The all-aluminum engine improves front-to-rear weight distribution to improve handling and agility.
- The Drive-by-Wire™ throttle system enables a smooth, powerful response with just the right throttle sensitivity in every driving situation.
- A high-flow exhaust system and Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) ensure precise and efficient fuel use.
- The TSX with 6-speed manual transmission has EPA Estimated Fuel Economy of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 28 on the highway
- With the automatic transmission it has EPA Estimated Fuel Economy of 21 in the city and 30 on the highway."
